Question: How does this unit mount to my register ? Does it have an LED display for the temperature setting ?
Answer: The Ultra model is available with LED display. This model does not have a display.
Question: Is it battery operated or electric cord?
Answer: The vent booster fan plugs in to normal household power. It does not work on batteries. The power requirements are: 115 VAC which converts to 12VDC 500mA
Question: Hello, I have a question about your register vent booster fan. It states that it has a sensor that senses the air flow to turn on and off. Is there a way to manually turn the unit on and off. I was going to cut holes in my first floor to allow heat from my fireplace to come upstairs and these fans would be great to help move the hot air upstairs. I am just worried that it will not sense the air flow and not turn on. Any info you could give me about your product would be great.
Answer: Yes, the product can be turned on/off manually. However, it is not exactly sensing AirFlow, but rather the temperature of the air on the back side of the unit. To use the AirFlow Breeze or Ultra in this situation (the Ultra is the better choice) you would place the AirFlow unit in the cool room and a blank grid (cosmetic only) in the warm room / stove side. Once set, as long as the booster fan is sensing warm air on the back, it will turn on and stay on, drawing the warm air up into the older room. If the air seems to cool on the stove side, then the unit would turn off. Hope this helps!
Question: How durable is this booster fan? Would it be safe to place in a floor with the potential risk of it getting stepped on?
Answer: Yes, the UL testing has a test for the load strength. The booster fan passed without a problem. If someone were to regularly jump on the product, it could become a problem, but if it is just occassionally walked over, all should be fine.
Question: How many cfm will this register fan move?
Answer: The Booster Fan CFM (Cubic Feet Per Minute): Fast - 100 (cfm), Medium - 70 cubic feet per minute (cfm), Slow - 40 cubic feet per minute (cfm)
Question: What is the return policy for the vent booster fan?
Answer: You may return an booster fan for refund or replacement within 30 days of the shipment date. A 15% restocking fee and shipping charges will apply. All items returned must be in new and resellable condition.
Question: Could I use this product in registers just for air flow of a coal stove in basement to get heat upstair areas?
Answer: The manufacturer does not specify that this booster fan can be used in this manner. We cannot guarantee that it will work for your application.
Question: Is this correct - once the furnace turns off, your register fan will run for a short time because it still detects "warm air" in the registers. However, at some point it will turn off until the furnace kicks on again.
Answer: Yes, the booster fans will come on a short time after the furnace comes on and will run a short time after the furnace goes off. In the case of cool, the booster fans may not turn off when the AC turns off because there may be a lot of residual cool air in the duct system.
Question: How loud are the fans? I want to use this in a bedroom and noise (lack of) is important
Answer: The fans are fairly quiet. The sound is measures at 38 decibels. For comparion the hum of a refrigerator compressor is about 40db.
Question: Can I install the Register Vent Booster Fan to replace an existing ceiling register? If not which model do you recommend?
Answer: Yes, these booster fans are meant to replace your existing register grille. Just be sure to measure your grille opening so you can order the right size fan.

Question: We have a two story home and the AC does not adequately make it upstairs, even when we close most of the first floor ducts at the furnace end. We leave the fan on 24/7 in both the heating and cooling season for air change and filtering purposes. I am hoping a powered register will pull more cool air into the upstairs bedrooms. What do you recommend?" Thank you.
