The GX model garage fans are designed for garages without attic space and installs in an exterior garage wall. "How does the Whisper Quiet Garage Ventilation System from Quiet Cool work?” If you can imagine your garage baking from the sun all day, heating up your car, attic and in some cases the living space above the garage like a giant hot oven. Now there is a great way to ventilate your garage with a powerful garage fan. Car exhaust fumes and other chemicals stored in the garage can be deadly. When you run your cars engine, small particles can find their way into your home even when the garage door is opened. By installing a garage ventilation fan, on the wall opposite to the door leading into your home, you will greatly reduce the potential for toxic car fumes from entering your home. Simply turn on your QuietCool garage fan and like a giant vacuum it works to suck out all of the hot air trapped in your garage and attic while replacing it with fresh, natural, cool and healthy air...and best of all these garge fans operates for just pennies a hour! Our high volume fan can remove and replace all of the air in your garage 10 to 15 times per hour! Garage Fans Specifications (4 Different Models): GX-800 Wall Mounted, with Thermostat - 801 CFM. Avoid Back drafts- Care should be taken to avoid back drafting combustion appliances that are installed in the garage space. It is strongly recommended that combustion appliances NOT be installed in such a manner that they use room air for combustion. QuietCool Garage Fans are capable of pulling large quantities of air from the garage and particularly if not enough venting is available or blocked. This could easily back draft gas appliances located inside your garage. ~INSTALLATION MANUALS~ (PDF OPENS IN NEW WINDOW) GX Garage Fan Installation Manual GA Garage Fan Installation Manual Garage Fan Brochure FAQ: Q: Is there a thermostat included with the GA-100 Fan Garage to Attic Fan? Yes, It is a Robertshaw Line Voltage Thermostat with thermometer. It is rated at 25amps - 120/240 volts. Temperature range is 50 deg. to 90 deg. F. Tt would be considered a "close on rise" thermostat such that if it were set to 90 degrees, the fan would not come on until the temperature reached 90 degrees. Upon reaching 90 degrees or more the fan would stay on continuously until the temperature dropped below 90 degrees at which point it would shut off. Q: Can the GA units be mounted vetically and can you add ducting? A:The GA-1000 and GA-1500 Garage/Attic fans can be mounted in either a horizontal ceiling or a vertical wall. The duct opening collar at the outlet end of the Garage Fan is 14 inches in diameter, but it is not normally used with a duct. Our 6 foot long ducts come with an adjustable collar on each end that will allow one duct to be inserted into another duct and then taped or fastened together with sheet metal screws. **When ordering, please choose the GA model garage fans if you have a garage with an attic and ceiling or if you do not have an attic and ceiling inside your garage, choose the GX model garage fans which installs in an exterior garage wall. ![]() |
