~VIEW VIDEO CLIP~
In the past, homeowner have had limited
choices when it comes to whole house fan installations.
Choice #1)
Bargain home improvement store style fans
You could buy a traditional whole
house fan from a home improvement store. These fans will move a
huge amount of air, but these fans have been described as extremely loud and
they leave a large un-insulated hole in your ceiling, which
allows for cold air intrusion in the wintertime and loss of
air conditioning in the summer months. These fans are
also commonly installed only in a common area of a home (top
of the stairs or hallway) mounted directly above your ceiling.
Many homeowners may not want to run these fans continuously
during the
evening hours, because of the
extremely loud noise that they generate. These
types of fans are generally belt driven, which can require maintenance and
belt replacement over time. They also require framing or cutting of the joist
and may need additional roof venting for proper operation.
Choice #2)
Single fan with motorized doors and
plastic blades
You could buy a single 1000-2800
CFM (cubic feet per minute) fan. They may be the most expensive
to purchase and the noise level may inhibit conversation, TV
viewing, etc. The fan is usually installed in
a centrally located area of your home (hallway, stairway
etc.) Depending on the CFM and the
square footage of your home, it can take a long time to
adequately cool and ventilate. A single 1000 CFM unit
is often too
small to move the proper amount of air to cool and ventilate
your entire home quickly (see sizing chart
below).
Depending on the model, these fans could also have huge,
unrealistic attic space clearance requirements for proper installation and
operation.
You will find that custom framing is required to
install these units and they may have moving or
motorized parts that
could wear out or need service after time.
Since these types of fans are commonly installed in a
hallway or other common area (in a single fan
configuration), it makes it
difficult to pull
air into other rooms such as your bedrooms with the doors closed.
Although they may be quieter than traditional
whole-house fans, these units may still be considered noisy.
The loud noise may deter many homeowners from installing fans in
rooms such as bedrooms, dens, or family rooms etc.
The manufacture warranty for these fans is
generally limited to only 3-5 years.

THE BEST
SOLUTION
THE QUIET COOL
WHOLE-HOUSE FAN SYSTEM
Just Flip A
Switch and Begin To Cool & Ventilate Your Home.
Quiet Cool Whole-House Fans Are Revolutionizing the Market!
The
Quiet Cool System is a "New Generation Product," based on a proven
method of whole-house cooling that has been around for years. It
is the most versatile cooling and ventilating system on the market
today!
The Quiet
Cool fans are a multi-fan and multi-location system
that moves 1500 CFM of
air per fan. They are easy to install and have
insulated self-closing, damper doors, that create a positive
closure to prevent air from freely flowing from the house
to the attic when the fans are not in operation.
Most importantly, the
Quiet Cool fans are attached and hang in your attic rafters, away from
your living area to provide tremendously quiet
operation, less than 0.4 sones. The next quietest fan on
the market is about 3.0 sones, more than 7 times as loud
as the Quiet Cool system!
One of the main reasons that other manufacturer's fans are
much louder than the Quiet Cool fans is because their
units
are mounted on wood framing in the attic and flush to your ceiling, (this
places the motor directly above your living space and =
NOISE).
The Quiet Cool system is designed to cool and ventilate
your entire home by pulling warm, stale air up and
out of the home while drawing fresh cool air in. Insulated air conditioning
grade ducting is used in the Quiet Cool systems to reduce irritating fan
noise. The Quiet Cool fans are so quiet, they can be
installed in any room (with attic access), including bedrooms and can be operated while you
soundly sleep! You have the option of privacy
when operating the Quiet Cool fans with the
bedroom doors closed! This is a benefit never before
seen with traditional whole house
fans, that are usually mounted in a hallway or in a
central location.
The Quiet
Cool fans can be controlled individually or multiple fans
can be wired to a single wall switch, a 6 or 12 hour timer, or
a X-10 remote
control system. With
this flexibility you can control when, where, and how much air
flow moves through your home by simply turning on or off
your Quiet Cool fans to reach the ideal comfort level.
For example, you could turn off your Quiet Cool fan in the
kids room and leave the fans in the master bedroom or
hallway on (with the bedroom doors opened or closed).
Turn on all of your fans to increase your CFM to cool your
entire house.
In many climates, a Quiet Cool system
may even eliminate the need for an air conditioner. Quiet
Cools are more energy efficient than air conditioning, and
that's good news for your pocketbook and the environment.
The Quiet
Cool fans are maintenance free and simple to install. There are
no motorized doors, no plastic
fan blades,
no specialized framing or custom carpentry requirements and there are
no belts to
replace. The fan blades are metal not plastic.
A standard 3-prong, 6' power cord is included. Simply plug
the fans into an attic outlet or easily remove the cord
for standard hardwiring.
The Quiet Cool fans are 100% made in the
USA and come with a
10-year manufacturer warranty.

*These numbers are approximations only. One story homes
generally have a larger attic area since the attic space covers the
entire living area, One story homes can accommodate more
CFM. For one story homes it is recommended that one fan be
installed for every 500 sq. ft
of living space. Two story homes will have less attic area
(since the attic may cover only 1/2 of the total living area). For two
story homes we generally recommend one fan per every 750-1000 sq.
feet of living area.
Whole
house fans are rated according to the amount of air they can move.
This is measured in cubic feet of air per minute, or CFM. In order
to be effective, a whole house fan’s CFM rating should be 2 to 3
times the square footage of the house or as much
CFM as your roof venting will accommodate.
For example, a 1,500
square foot, one story house will require a
whole house fan system capable of
moving air at a rate of 3,000-4,500 CFM.
Too little CFM will not provide the desired minimum of 10 air
exchanges per hour as recommended by the House Ventilation
Institute, and may not provide the cooling draft to lower house,
attic and skin temperatures in a timely fashion.
Besides the cooling and
energy saving benefits that you realize when you use whole-house
fans, they are also an excellent way to provide whole house
ventilation.
In Addition To Cooling
Your Home, You Can Use The Quiet Cool System
To Ventilate Pollutants From Your Home Year Round!
IS THE AIR IN YOUR HOUSE MAKING YOU
SICK?
|
In homes
across America, the quality of indoor air ( IAQ )can be worse
than outdoor air.
-
Have you ever stopped to think about whether the air
you're breathing at home is healthy?
-
Do you frequently have headaches or feel nauseous or
tired in your home?
-
Do you feel better when you leave the house?

~Why Ventilation Is So Important~
According to the
Environmental
Protection Agency, Americans spend about 90 percent of their
time indoors, where concentrations of pollutants are often much
higher than those outside. Risk assessments performed for radon, environmental tobacco smoke (ETS), and lead have shown that health
risks are substantial.
Thousands of chemicals and biological
pollutants are found indoors, many of which are known to have
significant health impacts both indoors and in other environments.
Air inside in our homes is up to 100 times more polluted than
outdoor air. If too little outdoor air enters a dwelling,
microorganisms can collect to levels that pose health and comfort
problems. This problem can be especially serious in the energy
efficient homes built in the last twenty years. These homes may
not allow enough air changes, keeping contaminated air in and
fresh air out. Whole house fan can be used to exhaust pollutants from your home.
